Crafty by Lloyd Armbrust
Crafty is WordPress theme designed for people who want an organic-crafted like feel of their website or blog–but basically its made for chicks. I hope you like it, whoever you are.
A special thanks goes out to Rachel Novek for some of the visual elements like the ribbons and other crafty things. Without her amazing-artsy background this theme would not have been possible.
So you know: everything in this theme, including the CSS, XHTML, and design, is released under GPL (this means that you can do whatever you want with it).
So please, take my credit out of the footer, add your own images, turn it into a robot and friend it on facebook–I don’t care. I mean, it’s not like I spent three hours bug-fixing the thing for IE6 until the veins in my forehead exploded!
But seriously, if you do something cool with it, let me know and post a link in the comments below.

hi, lloyd!
sorry for my english (:
i am using your crafty theme and found one trouble, you can see it by the this link: http://hobbymame.ru/?cat=74 .
you can see that sidebar is out of place (too lower, than it most to be) and it’s text style it out of itself too.
i’ve check this page by http://validator.w3.org/ service and it say to me
# Error Line 257, Column 6: end tag for “div” omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified.
You may have neglected to close an element, or perhaps you meant to “self-close” an element, that is, ending it with “/>” instead of “>”.
# Info Line 50, Column 0: start tag was here.
how can i correct this?
thanks a lot

Love it! Thank you :)
Julia
(though I might change a few elements to fit my needs as my blog is mostly about knitting so I might need a knit background. But those are going to be marginal changes)

You so rock – I downloaded crafty and have been playing with it to make it my own. I LOVE your humor – the css called ie6sucks.css made me laugh out loud and then the little joke about the em in the main css was icing on the case – you made my night!
I am still playing around but I will come back and post the URL when I am I done. Thanks again!

@stephan Looks like you’ve got this working. Need any more help?
@Julia Thanks! Let me know if you change it and post the link!
@lisa Wow, thanks Lisa! Glad someone is actually looking at the code. I do that in most of designs, and try to trash IE wherever I can. Let me know when you’ve got the link up!

I ***REALLY*** love this theme! I have spent the last few days looking through millions (okay, probably only hundreds, but it seems like millions) of WP themes and after a while they all look pretty much the same. This is one of the few that looks truly different, that has a definite personality. I’m not sure it will work for any of my sites, but it makes me wish I *had* a craft site, just so I could use it!

Thanks barbara! Another great theme that you might like is “Pretty Parchment.” Also free on WordPress.org: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/pretty-parchment
It’s not as popular, but is a bit more general.

I’m using this theme for my craft blog, as you can imagine it’s almost perfect :) So thank you for designing it. Any chance of a tweak in the future that would enable threaded comments?

I was trying to remove some sidebar content on my friends website and went to Appearance>Editor>Sidebar (Sidebar.php) and deleted part of the code and now I have lost a lot of my Home page content. Dumb me was not only screwing with something that I shouldn’t have been, I also failed to copy the code prior to deleting part of it.
Can someone PLEASE provide me with the original Sidebar code for the Crafty Theme so that I can replace mine?
