you will need to go into the header.php file and reference the logo where you want it to go. you most likely will need to style it so that it appears where and how you would like.

I love your pretty parchment theme, and I'm fairly new to WordPress. Can you tell me how to put a company logo up in the header in place of the text header? The site in question is martonijames.com.

Amanda Helms,
just download the theme again and only copy over the .php file you need or even just the bit of code you need.

ah - just noticed I had overlooked a response you had given another commenter regarding the image overlap. You can ignore that part. :)

Love the theme! Perfect for what I'm doing.

I only have a couple of questions -
1. Did you know, if you create a page with the "links" template, the pretty picture at the bottom overlaps the last couple of links? I fixed this by throwing in some breaks in the link.php template before the footer, but wasn't sure how to adapt the css to do it the "right" way.

2. Also, was curious about the choice to do no excerpts and only full text on Archive pages. not a big deal - I can work with it, and if I wanted could probably make a child theme and change it - but wondered at the reason for the choice. Is it a common preference in the more "personal" themes?

Thanks again for a beautiful design.

Hello,

While attempting to add an image to my sidebar, I think I deleted some of the code as the nice background for my sidebar categories disappeared (I thought I had properly saved the original code, but turns out I'd only saved the altered code). Would it be possible to get just the original code for the sidebar without having to reinstall the whole template?

Thanks,
Amanda Helms

Must have been an error on my part.

Simply add "padding-bottom: 120px;" into the body tag in your style.css file.

It should look like this:

body {
       font-size: 62.5%; /* What did one em say to another? Who's your daddy?! */
       font-family: 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, Arial, Sans-Serif;
       color: #333;
       text-align: center;
       margin: 0;
       padding: 0;
min-height: 600px;
padding-bottom: 120px;
       }

I also added the "min-height" element for good measure.

BTW: You should be able to edit theme file (style.css is what you
want) via the WP admin interface, or via FTP. The body tag is easy to
find at the top of the CSS.

Hi! I love the theme and am working on making minor customizations. The last thing I'd like to do is delete the flower graphic at the bottom of the page (though it is pretty) because I'm having problems with it crashing into my copy, as on this page: http://amandahelms.com/about/

The graphic doesn't seem to be part of the footer file, and I'm having problems finding it. If it's related to the Image Attachment Template, I'm hesitant to change the whole file in case I'd like to include it later. Would you mind directing me to the "get" code or whatever it is so I can leave it out that way? Thanks!

@Elizabeth That's part of the new WP interface that came out in 2.7--we haven't upgraded any of our themes to work in the fancy 2.7+ admin interface, so I apologize for that, but technically that's WP's fault for making their product so awesome! The short answer to your problem is that their is no easy way to do it. For this theme it would require knowledge of Photoshop, XHTML, CSS, and maybe some PHP.

@Marie Thanks!

Hi, I just changed my theme to Pretty Parchment. One thing surprised me--in my WP admin panel, I can click on the place under Appearance to customize the header image and font, etc.---but it doesn't seem that I can put up an image from here. Do I have to go somewhere else to do it? If I do, I think the admin panel's info is misleading. Thank you.
